At the end of February, Crag Law Center referred my neighbors and I to Jesse Bruss and Willamette Law Group when our City Council submitted biased ballot language for a municipal project with environmental impact concerns. The process for challenging ballot language in Oregon is onerous and has a short filing deadline. Despite Jesse's busy schedule during the election season, he made time for us, listened to our concerns, and assisted us in drafting and submitting a petition to the Multnomah County courts before the deadline. He even made himself available over the weekend to accommodate the tight timeline, which we greatly appreciated, although not expected. Our city ultimately conceded, and we are now working towards creating fair and unbiased language for a future ballot initiative. I highly recommend Jesse and Willamette Law Group. While I am not litigious, I have worked with various attorneys in my profession, and I was thoroughly impressed by Jesse's attention to detail, communication (specifically about his availability), and willingness to listen before providing a solution. I encourage you to hire him!
