I hired William Benz for legal advice. He charged me over $6k for phone conferences. Six Thousand Dollars. No court papers were filed (except when he sued me for an unpaid portion of the bill) and no court appearances were made. Shortly after I retained him, a court hearing was filed by an opposing party. The night before court, I was advised by attorney Benz that he couldn't enter an appearance to represent me because he is a magisterial judge. So, I had to go to court alone (or pay additional fees to hire one of his associates.) In my opinion, he is best at billing.
False allegations aimed at avoiding payment of a just debt. I met with this client and had three protracted conferences with her. Negotiated her case with opposing counsel on multiple occasions. Advised her to settle the claim, which she and her co-defendant refused to do. Contrary to her false statement I Filed a legal pleading in Answer to the Complaint against her on her behalf in the Court of Common Pleas. Told her on her initial visit that I was not permitted to appear before a Magisterial District Judge because I am a Magisterial District Judge. She made the same misrepresentations to a panel of arbitrators when I had to sue her to collect my fee and the arbitrators found in my favor unanimously and awarded me 100% of my claim. She has posted this defamatory falsehood in an effort to avoid paying the judgment against her. Had she taken my advice initially she would never have been sued in court and she would have avoided 80% of the legal fees she incurred. She ultimately lost the case in court that I told her to settle.
