I am a little disgruntled with cancelled and rescheduled appointments. Hoping that Mr. Wilkerson can rectify this and live up to the reputation that others have alluded to. I am amending my review . Mr. Wilkerson has responded and we are moving forward. Hopefully by next week, I will amend the review to 5 stars.

Continued to work on my case over the years the other party tried to delay. Encouraged me to continue and was able to get a settlement!

Marcus is an excellent attorney—caring, reassuring, hard-working and professional. He’s down to earth, and explains things well. He’s dedicated to his clients, and I’m honored to have him represent me. The paralegal is also wonderful, and the staff is friendly. I recommend him to anyone needing an attorney. Also, many years ago, he did my grandparents will. He was so kind and generous, and patient with them.

Response from owner

Thank you Justin, including for setting appointments to address upcoming hearings and clarify anything regarding the presentation of evidence. I appreciate your kind words regarding both your matter and your grandparents. In providing requested materials and reviewing them in appointments you have made representation efficient and practical. It is pleasure to work with you.

Edit: Mr. Orena stated you could not help. As you advised for me to get a lawyer I already have and have had one. They are being retaliated against due to being witness in my original lawsuit. They needed a local attorney, for tenants and probate dispute litigation attorney. Due to an illegal eviction threat the tenants need a local attorney. The information that Mr. Orena stated you gave him I looked up and was not what we needed. Mr. Orena felt as though you did not care enough to actually listen. Because the tenants all have a major lawsuit and your response was not what any of the other expensive lawyers stated. So I apologize if my last post offended you, but these are their facts.

Response from owner

I don't know who you are and have never met with you regarding ANY legal matter, but can assure you I am not interested in doing so either, especially provided this. I don't know your circumstances, so I don't know how the law would apply to your circumstances. I practice law. That means if I consult with someone, I advise them of the law, how the facts as presented to me apply to the law, what their potential options are, and what representation would cost. If you are complaining about what the law is, write your legislator. If *YOU* need legal advice, I suggest *YOU* go see a lawyer.<br><br>So, just to be clear, someone I've never seen or spoken to is leaving a 1 star google review for services that do not pertain to you regarding someone who received a consultation from me during which a determination was made I would not be able to assist with that individuals legal matter? I just want it to be very clear - you don't know what that person said during their consult, what all was discussed during that consult, and what I said to that person during that person's consult, but based on someone else's representation I couldn't help them left this review?<br><br>Why didn't you take the person who came to the consult to your "expensive lawyers?"

Called to speak with an attorney about a real estate case . The secretary told me they don’t do real estate but everything I've read on their website and google account says they do .

Response from owner

Mr. Lauderdale, did my firm previously represent you in a 2016 matter?<br>In any event, I am truly apologetic for any miscommunication and/or misunderstandings. I do handle a variety of real-estate matters, including contracts related to mineral and other rights. If your matter is a landlord/tenant matter (in a Justice od the Peace court) I have found it rarely in a potential client's economic benefit to secure counsel, although, once again, it really depends on the circumstances, as there may be issues of title involved that might require resolution by a higher court.<br>There are also times when real estate matters are actually probate matters, or may intersect with probate matters.<br><br>If you would still like a consultation, please reach out to my office in order to get on the calendar. I will make sure the typical $25 scheduling fee - instituted to cut down on people who scheduled a free consultation then failed to show. <br><br>If your matter is not complex, you may be able to secure instructions and forms for certain types of matters at Texaslawhelp.org . Instructions and forms found through that resource is not a substitution for advice of counsel, and I am not suggesting it as a substitute for legal advice.<br><br>Whatever miscommunication may have taken place, I would like to attempt to remedy for you. <br><br>This is not meant to suggest the provision of legal representation, but only a consultation during which we discuss your specific legal issue(s) including providing you what options your situation may warrant, as well as a discussion of the methods and potential costs associated with your specific matter.<br><br>My receptionist & scheduling coordinator is relatively new and still learning the various types of cases we might take. The answer to that question often depends heavily on the facts.<br><br>If your matter has been resolved and/or you are no longer need an attorney, we wish you the best!<br><br>P.S. Whatever staff member you spoke with I am absolutely certain was not trying to ne rude or dismissive if you felt that way, but rather to save you the booking fee and the time you might spend waiting on and/or attending a consultation only to be told "we don't take those types of cases."<br><br>There are times, for instance, where someone might believe slipping in a grocery store is "real estate," but in reality is a premises liability case that would be handled by a personal injury attorney.

I would definitely recommend Marcus Wilkerson to anyone in need of an attorney for lawsuit. We were living out of state after the occurrence happened and him and his staff made all of the paperwork easy. Long process but he didn’t quit.

I was searching for an attorney while never even been to the city of Beaumont. I knew I wanted someone aggressive, someone who knew the ins and outs of the city, who was familiar with the family judges, & who knew their stuff. While going through the consultation, I had brought up the google reviews & said that bad communication was one thing that got brought up & I was concerned about. He put every fear I had to rest & then some! He communicated with me on every update, jumped right on the case within the next few hours (LITERALLY!!), every bump in the road that I came across, his office put my mind at ease, & every question was answered with straight-no-BS-or-sugarcoating kind of way! My great-niece was at jeopardy, & CPS was fighting tooth & nail to keep her in Beaumont, even though there was no family there. Mr. Wilkerson aggressively took apart their “investigation”, he was able to submit evidence that cleared the way for my family to regain custody of the baby, & we couldn’t have asked for a better attorney to shoot straight & get the job done! We wish he could have followed the rest of the case once it’s transferred, because I’m afraid we won’t find another like him! We had people in the courtroom asking for his name because of how well he presented the case. I highly recommend Mr. Wilkerson, I can’t thank him enough for what he’s done for my family.

Marcus and his team were great to deal with. I highly recommend his law firm.

Response from owner

Thank you Mr. Jorgensen. I'm glad we were able to be able to assist you on this matter. I only wish there had been more we could do after orders were signed given the situation(s) you recently faced. People can be extremely bitter and petty. That was not you in this case at all. I have immense respect for the way you conducted yourself during your most recent visit. Take care, and if we can ever be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Marcus Wilkerson is an outstanding lawyer with excellent attention to detail and exemplary appearance to detail. With the help of his outstanding support staff he can help get your legal problems absolved. He is a true master of litigation, and the best representation that a client can find in Texas.

If you do not want to be contacted (unless for money) or updated on your case even after leaving messages or Enjoy never getting any clear answers kr explanations... then this may be your guy. His disregaurd to my husbands future and lack of communication became apparent when he (finally)made it to court, and didn't even recognize him much less the crucial, erroneous ppwk/info that they were trying to charge him based off. If my husband hadn't asked why the deal they were offering was much different than what he initially told us would be most probable AND that it wasn't even his info, 'Mr. Wilkerson ' wouldn't have noticed and my husband would be in jail...Additionally, being in the court halls, waiting to be seen, on several occasions, I had observed how other lawyers, inparticularly Mr.Gertz who had 5times the clients each time, would still manage to show interest and effort in every one of his clients cases..explain, advise and most importantly communicate with them. Far more different than our experience or lack there of..Update: upon writing this review I was finally, actually contacted by Mr.Wilkerson unfortunately it was not due to the case,( for which had a court date in just days) or to return my calls/msgs about case and court, but instead only to respond to this review.

Response from owner

Who is your husband? For the record, I don't have a Mr. Harper on a criminal case, but I would be more than happy to discuss your allegations and negative experience you claim to have had if I knew who you were or who your husband is. Anyone can search records to see parties an attorney represents. Moreover, "why am I going to jail" is not something someone asks at the courthouse. To enter a plea on a case, someone has to execute paperwork and the allegations reviewed before ever even going before the judge. The DA having info mixed up with someone else's charges doesn't make sense, in part for that very reason. It also doesn't make sense why your husband wouldn't have set an appointment, at the very least, to have reviewed his discovery, as each client is contacted when we have the discovery on their case - standard practice in my office, as is advising a client to schedule an appointment a week prior to any court appearance (to make sure if it is a hearing or trial wr have all of our witnesses lined up).
