I had an extremely disappointing experience with this lawyer and guardian ad litem. Despite what he may think of his own intentions, his arrogance and preconceived judgments without the facts proved to be detrimental. His absolute refusal to listen after he has decided “he knows what’s going on” is sad. His lack of organization and rude behavior added to the frustration. Politeness seemed reserved only for those with political influence or in his good graces. Jeff’s gullibility was disheartening – he readily believed well-told lies without considering the truth from others. In this case a child paid for his incompetence, until the truth revealed itself later. My advice: steer clear at all costs; it's an experience I would not wish on anyone.

He treated my son very poorly on the phone and interrupted him several times. Made sure to point out that he will charge him if he filed for contempt against his ex-wife. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

I called to discuss how I was worried that my ex-wife (his client) was breaking the court order by spending time with her boyfriend at a hotel with my daughter. In our court documents, her current boyfriend is not allowed to stay under the same roof or in the same bed (that’s my assumption at least, he hasn’t given me the papers so I can be 100% sure which is why I called). I called to talk with him about this and was treated very poorly and was interrupted by him saying, “So? So? So?” And then he proceeded to tell me that if I filed for contempt that he would charge me $350 for attorney fees EVEN THOUGH I am just trying to protect my daughter from what I thought Judge VanMeter agreed to. I would highly not recommend him simply for his aggressive behavior when I was being completely polite and reasonable. He cares only about the money and it shows, especially since he had 10 days to file the papers for court for me to review and sign and the 10 days was on 11/3 (and that’s business days.). The court date was 10/23/23 and I am going to make sure my friends and family knows how poorly I was treated.

I called Jeff on a whim as I was quickly losing hope for finding someone to represent me in a divorce/ custody case. Before I had even agreed to retain him as my attorney, he was looking at his calendar and planning to move other obligations around so that he could be with me for representation at mediation. He has been in my corner and supported me, corrected me, and empowered me from the beginning and my only regret is that I hadn’t found him before my first hearing. I could not recommend Jeff more. He is honest, humorous, humble and fierce - everything you need when you feel like you’re against the ropes.

Mr. Woods and his receptionist are very friendly, professional and compassionate about their jobs. Mr. Woods represented me in a hopeless case (or at least I thought so) when nobody else wanted to. He took his personal time to help me. I was on a downward spiral facing a bunch of jail time. Mr. Woods kept me from going to jail and got my charges dismissed. Besides that he later on helped me with his personal time again. That case was also in my favor. He also changed my life completely and saved it! I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without his help. I’m very grateful for the time and effort that he had put forth to help save a lost cause. Him and his wife are Christians who truly love what they do and are very genuine about it. I met Mr.Woods a few years back during , let’s just say a rough patch. Every case I had, he picked it up & did everything in his power to help me, even when I wasn’t helping myself. God put him in my life for a reason. Fast forward to now & he’s currently helping me again with a different type of case. If you want an attorney that ACTUALLY cares, then he’s the man for the job.
