My husband Jason and I hired this law firm hoping for help with a serious business issue involving a defective pump truck purchased for our septic company. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. After paying approximately $40,000 in legal fees over two years nothing happened that they said would happen. No meaningful action was taken on our behalf, and there was no real progress made toward resolving the case or pursuing the matter legally. We had to keep submitting documents over and over again that they already had. We trusted that this firm would guide and represent us through a complex situation, but instead we were left feeling unsupported and without the legal advocacy we believed we were paying for. For a fee of this size, we expected communication, strategy, and actual representation — none of which occurred in our case. I worked with Jose and Matt for the past three years on my case, which recently settled before going to trial. Overall, I had a very positive experience with the entire process. I had a very disappointing experience with Xander Law Group. Communication was poor and the overall level of professionalism was not what I expected from a law firm. It often felt disorganized and difficult to get clear answers or timely responses.

I normally don’t post reviews, but after my experience with Xander Law Group I believe other business owners should understand what working with Xander Law Group can look like. My company purchased a used vacuum truck from a Miami dealer called National Truck Center, which sells refurbished trucks that originally came from fleets like Ryder and Penske. The truck was marketed as a ready-to-work vacuum truck. Within three days of owning it, the engine completely failed and required a full rebuild. The truck then sat for roughly six months while the engine was rebuilt. After trying to resolve the issue directly with National Truck Center, I contacted Xander Law Group to discuss whether I had a case. I was told the case was strong and that pursuing legal action made sense. Based on that advice, I retained the firm. What followed over the next two years was extremely frustrating. During that time I paid roughly $40,000 in legal fees while the case slowly moved along. Communication was inconsistent. Many times the only time I heard from Xander Law Group was when an invoice was due. After paying an invoice, we would suddenly schedule depositions or meetings where the same documentation would be requested again. I was asked for the same documents multiple times throughout the case despite having already provided them. At one point an invoice increased from roughly $2,200 to nearly $10,000 in a matter of days following a brief Zoom meeting. As the case progressed, the cost projections escalated dramatically. Eventually Xander Law Group informed me that moving forward with trial would require a trial retainer of approximately $70,000–$80,000 for what was described as a one-to-three-day trial. By that point I had already spent tens of thousands of dollars over nearly two years on a lawsuit involving a truck that originally cost around $150,000. To make matters worse, after additional mechanical inspections it became clear that the truck itself had deeper issues. The chassis, weight ratings, and configuration appeared mismatched for the size of the vacuum tank that had been installed. The truck suffered another major engine failure again in July and is currently being rebuilt for a second time after the underlying issue was finally diagnosed. In the end, after two years of litigation and substantial legal fees, the case resulted in a judgment for legal fees which I ultimately paid simply to close the matter and move on with running my business. Litigation is always risky and every case is different. But based on my experience with Xander Law Group, the process became extremely expensive, communication was inconsistent, and the outcome was the complete opposite of what I expected when I first retained the firm. Anyone considering hiring Xander Law Group should make sure they fully understand how quickly litigation costs can escalate and what the financial commitment may ultimately look like.

As I went through the process of looking for attorneys/ firms, I found that many are full of promises but take no action. In fact, I ended up letting go of the original lawyer I hired. I was fortunate to find Xander law. During my time with Xander, I had the pleasure of working with Jose. Jose is a genuine, smart, trustworthy, passionate attorney with great work ethic. He is a highly experienced trial attorney who has expansive legal knowledge. He takes time to review your case and strives for the greatest outcome. If I ever need to hire a lawyer in the future, I know exactly who I want as my attorney, no doubt about it. One of the plus sides of working with Jose, is that he has a very organized team. Had an appointment to speak with a lawyer on a Monday and 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment I decided to call and was told that the lawyer that I was supposed to speak with had an emergency court appearance. So basically if I never called, I would've never known that. So #1, not very professional in telling me that this meeting could not happen. Then #2, I was told on that same call that they were going to call me back so we can schedule another appointment and it's now Friday and I still haven't heard back. I've worked in customer service and own a business myself and I would never do this to a client. Very unprofessional.
