Yellin Jeremy S

2008 I hired Mr. Yellin to defend me from wrongful elder abuse accusations. I am an extremely nervous person and needed someone to LISTEN to me. He constantly talked over me, cut me off, and was completely unsympathetic to my plight. As a result he actually helped to get me prosecuted from what could have been a Misdemeanor (though I was innocent of even that) to a Felon. It has taken me years to work through the ptsd of that trial...which I am not yet completely over to this day.

This goes back 12 years ago twhen I was pregnant and suffered domestic violence at the hands of my husband. I had a phone conversation with Jeremy (who was in Livingston at the time, I see things have ONLY gotten better if you live in Havre now) who was rude, cut me off after I told him I was pregnant and that I could NOT file for divorce in Montana if I was pregnant with my husband’s baby. That is Montana law, yes, but you offered 0 solutions or to start the paperwork and to file as soon as the baby was born, etc. Instead, you turned away an abused, vulnerable PREGNANT woman who would eventually take her husband back, completing the cycle of violence, which lead to many custody issues in the future. If you had been a more compassionate and skilled attorney, then you wouldn’t have allowed that to continue happening to a desperate mother in need of help. My daughter is the victim of domestic violence because of your carelessness.

Called for a week straight. Finally got ahold of him. I was in the phone for 3 mins. Half the time he was searching for the notes from his secretary. After which we proceeded with the call he asked me question and every time I went to answer he would cut me off. Then leading him to say “I just need you to answer me questions” to which I replied “I’m trying too” he responded “try harder” I told him thank you for his time and hung up. Absolutely disgusting behavior.. he was rude from the beginning of the phone call. Completely unprofessional. I would have paid for a consultation I didn’t care I just wanted help and respect. 0/10

I have been trying to get ahold of him for over a week and no call back, no information, the secretary just keeps saying “they’ll pass the info along” it’s honestly super unprofessional.
