Yunus was very knowledgeable and professional and answered all our questions in a timely fashion. We appreciated being provided with documents which we can amend later on our own if future changes are needed.

I had very positive experience with the service via ARAG legal plan. I had reached out to two firms prior to this firm and they were not helpful so I was starting to get a little skeptical about ARAG services. However, I met Yunus through the initial consultation, he was forward and clear with explaining how our engagement and process would work. After that point, all communications were clear, his staff were prompt in responding. The long form is straight forward, not like the dozens of forms I had to complete with another firm then they ghosted me. I appreciate this firm clear and efficient process.

10/10 recommend. He only has five stars here because that’s the limit. In court, he’s relentless and precise, and outside of it he’s professional, focused, and approachable. He truly listens and works with you on your case. I never once felt lost or in the dark—any time I had questions, he followed up with clear answers, not empty promises. If you want someone who knows what they’re doing and shows up when it matters, this is your guy.

I greatly appreciate the firm's approach at serving MetLife Legal customers for estate planning documents. They do not have to serve us, and there are not a lot to choose from in the Portland area. The consultation was clear, the long form they sent collected the right information, and when I had questions or exceptions to a "simple" answer, they were able to support me. While they work out some process streamlining, I am confident that my documents will be what I need to cover my family. I was so pleased, I have now had my daughter (19 years old) and brother also partner with Yunus Muhammad to prepare their documents.

I had a very straightforward estate planning case with Yunus Mohammad. I was sent to them through ARAG legal insurance. I found the process very straightforward. We had a 30 minute intake call where the process was described, I filled out a form with the relevant details, and received the forms I needed a few weeks later.

I had an employment law issue and even though they don’t handle employment law cases, they still got me in touch with the right places and showed me the process and alhamdulillah I got it resolved.

Response from owner

Alhamdulillah, Yazan, we are so glad to hear you got things taken care of! Beyond serving people in our practice areas -- Personal Injury and Estate Planning -- we try hard to find people the help they need from other lawyers we know and trust so you're in good hands, inshaAllah.

Absolutely! Here’s a concise and polished Google review you could post: --- We were referred to this firm through MetLife and had an outstanding experience working with Jawad Ali. Tremendous thanks to Jawad for his diligent and thoughtful feedback, prompt communication, and all-around professional and friendly approach - highly recommend!

This law group's handling of my son's case was frightening. They sat on the case for months pretending to represent my son and then out of nowhere bailed on the case, no explanation. This is a serious case involving a car collision and brain surgery, fraud and six figure medical bills. Sitting on the case for as long as they did, considering the statute of limitations, effectively nearly sabotaging the case, definitely crippling my son's chances of any restitution. Makes me wonder if they weren't working for the other insurance company behind the scenes.

Response from owner

We respect your concern for your son, but we want to clarify a few points. Our communications and representation were with him directly, and you were not involved in the consultations or correspondence.

From the outset, we explained that our ability to move forward would depend on whether the evidence supported litigation. Your son hired our firm in June 2025 and provided extensive documentation, the final set of which was received in August 2025.

After thorough consideration, in September 2025, we determined that the case could not be responsibly advanced. We were not the first law firm to review and ultimately decline to proceed with this matter, and our decision was based entirely on the strength of the evidence and our ethical obligations.

Our firm has been serving clients for more than 20 years. We regularly file lawsuits, and we never shy away from taking on insurance companies when the facts support a claim. This case was no exception: our decision was not about avoiding litigation, but about our professional judgment that the evidence did not provide a strong legal foundation.

We communicated this directly to your son in writing, well before his statute of limitations, specifically so he would have time to pursue another attorney if he wished. While we regret that this has been a difficult process, we wish him and your family the best moving forward.

The Yunus Mohammed Law Group came highly recommended to me by MetLife Legal Plans, praised for their reputation of standing by clients to the very end, a reputation supported by many positive reviews. I turned to them after my previous attorneys walked away from my case when the insurance adjuster refused to budge. From what was explained to me, their entire effort amounted to little more than asking the adjuster to reconsider, and when that failed, they simply dropped my case. My situation is far from minor: I was struck by a car, sustained fractures to my neck and skull, which required emergency brain surgery that doctors did not expect me to survive. The physical evidence highly indicates that the person turned sharply into me, I also possess extensive documentation of insurance fraud, along with two letters, one from the insurance company and another from their subrogation firm, apologizing for unlawful collection practices on fraudulent debt. At first, I was encouraged. The firm responded quickly to my initial outreach and scheduled a meeting. Our first consultation was productive and straightforward. Shortly after, I was informed that they would take my case. During the fee agreement discussion, the associate carefully explained every detail, which is something I respected deeply, especially given my severe brain injury. It felt considerate and professional. I promptly provided the firm with all of my documentation, an extensive file of about 70 documents, I also arranged the finances for filing fees, expert witness costs, and other case expenses, as agreed. However, after this promising start, communication entirely stopped. For about a month and a half I heard nothing. When I followed up, I was told the attorney was tied up in another case but assured that mine would still be handled. I trusted this assurance considering their extensive positive reviews and our previous communication. I provided them with state of the art AI analysis showing that the person sharply turned into me as per their request and waited. But again, months passed with no meaningful updates. Then, without warning, I received a letter stating the firm had closed my file and would no longer represent me without any reason whatsoever. This was profoundly disappointing and, frankly, feels unethical. I had the evidence and resources ready from the beginning. If the firm did not wish to take the case, the honorable path would have been to decline from the outset, not to repeatedly assure me otherwise, waste critical months, and then withdraw abruptly. With the statute of limitations on my case approaching, that lost time is invaluable. I could have pursued representation elsewhere; in fact, I had another attorney willing to take my case. I am sharing this experience so that others can make informed decisions. The early professionalism I experienced gave me hope, but the lack of follow through and communication ultimately left me in a worse position than when I started. I strongly encourage this firm to reflect on how they handle vulnerable clients and to act with more transparency and accountability in the future. UPDATE Responding to the Yunus Muhammad Law Groups claim I am not part of any coordinated campaign, and I am not impersonating anyone. Negative feedback does not make a review fraudulent, on the contrary it makes it important. I used a pen name to protect my privacy because I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, and based on how my case was handled and how communication abruptly ended, I noticed red flags that made me concerned about possible retaliation. Given the severity of my condition and the ongoing physical pain which I have been unable to seek treatment for, I am in no position to fight unnecessary battles, but I still have the right to warn others about my experience.

Response from owner

Thank you for clarifying that you are using a pen name to leave us a review. While we also do not wish to engage in a back and forth, we want to clarify a few things:

We are sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience. When we accepted your matter, we explained to you from the beginning that our ability to proceed would depend on a thorough review of the evidence. You provided extensive documentation, which we carefully reviewed, and we also scheduled follow-up meetings to clarify key issues.

After this review, it became clear that the available evidence did not support the claims in a way that would allow us to advance litigation. We were not the first law firm to evaluate and ultimately decline to proceed with your case. As attorneys, we are ethically bound to pursue only matters that have a viable legal basis.

For more than 20 years, our firm has successfully represented clients, filed lawsuits at a high rate, and taken on insurance companies directly. We never shy away from litigation when the facts support a viable claim. In your matter, our decision was not about avoiding a fight but about our professional judgment that the evidence did not provide a strong legal foundation.

We communicated this to you in writing well in advance of your statute of limitations, leaving you with ample time to seek other representation if you wish. While we regret that this did not align with your expectations, we wish you the best moving forward

I called to set up a trust through my MetLife legal plan because Yunus is listed as a provider. I spoke with the legal assistant from Washington State and spent maybe 20 minutes on the phone with him, answering his trust-related questions. He said he would take care of us and have Yunus Muhammed call us to set up a meeting for our trust documents. Then he ghosted us. Never called or emailed us about anything and never returned my call. Absolutely worthless. Don't waste your time with this disorganized and unprofessional law office.

Response from owner

Thank you for your feedback. We’re concerned this review may not reflect an actual client experience. Our estate planning intake process—including MetLife Legal Plans—never begins with a 20-minute phone call. Clients first schedule a free Zoom consultation with our intake team, and only after hiring do we request trust details through our Long Form.

Our process is built for structure and efficiency. First, a prospective client is sent a secure email link to schedule their free consult. Next, they complete a short intake form. Only after the consultation and actual hiring do we send the online Long Form to gather the information needed to prepare their trust and other estate planning documents.

Up to that point, we do not ask for trust-related details such as distribution plans, trustee choices, or assets. Because this reviewer claims someone would “have Yunus Muhammad call” to set up a meeting, this review doesn’t match our process. “Yunus Muhammad” is our firm name, not a person, and our team, not an attorney, handles all scheduling through booking links. We also found no record of this name or any similar lead in our CRM (intake process).

We invite MetLife members and other prospective clients to reach us through https://yunusmuhammad.com/#contact. Once a form is submitted, our team reviews it and usually sends a booking link within an hour. We take pride in providing a remote, organized, and professional client experience focused on clarity and prompt service.

The team at Yunus Muhammad PC was great to work with. I was 7 months pregnant when I reached out to get my estate plan documents in place. They were friendly, prompt, professional, and made the process easy. When I had additional questions, they took the time to listen and answer those questions.
